In addition to all the ecosystem services that food forests bring, they produce amazing crops that are rich in vitamins and minerals. A diversity of species contributes to more nutritious crops, through the species' exchange of substances and minimal disturbance of the soil which enhance the mycelium of fungi, micro life form and different root structures. To increase individuals' ability for safe nutritious diet, we collaborate with various partners that grows according to food forest method, free of pesticides and at least 10 km from heavy polluting industries.
Väversund berry cultivation
Started 1995 by Tor and Inger as a pionering way of both combining timber and nut production. Stretching now over 8 hectars with thousand of different species and one of the most biodivers rich areas in the region. Freja Food Forest started its cooperation with Väversunda in 2021 and have enhanced its food forest with over 500 plants divided among 50 species.
Tivedstorps Bed & Breakfast
Tivedstorp is a genuine bed and breakfast situated in the hearth of Tiveden with a rich history dating back to the 1500-century. Tiveden is famouse for a place where individuals follow there own path. From a rebelius stronghold to a center focusing on balanced between man and nature.
